John N. Carlton's Obituary
Mr. John Noah Carlton, age 84, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 18, 2020 in Muskegon. Born on October 6, 1935 to Howard and Paira (Whiddean) Carlton in Beedeville, Arkansas, John moved to Michigan after serving his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Army. John worked at Dake Corp. in Grand Haven for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was younger and recently liked spending time on his farm, tending to his goats and tinkering with the tractors. John will be missed by his children, Phillip Shawn (Debra) Carlton of Muskegon, MI and Sherry Candace (Larry) Redder of Grand Haven, MI; step-son, Brent Earl (Lyssa) Cooper of Norton Shores, MI; grandchildren, Colten, Melissa, Amber (Mike), Heather, Rachel, Emily, Grace, Katie, Evan and Logan; step-daughter-in-law, Amy Barber of Howell, MI; sister, Ivon Soule; and first wife and mother of his children, Edna Carlton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Carlton; son, Johnny Carlton; infant daughter, Edna Jane; step-son, Brian Allen Barber; parents; and siblings, Ovay, Rex, Rozella. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 10AM at Grand Haven Twp. Cemetery (12604 168 St, 49417) with Military Honors rendered.
