John Contrady Jr.'s Obituary
John Contrady, Jr., age 90, passed away Thursday evening, February 15, 2018. He was born July 24, 1927 in McAdoo, PA to John and Anna (Bavolack) Contrady. John was a graduate of Penn State University and was a U.S. Marine Corp Veteran of WWII. On April 22, 1953, he married the former Edna Hartman in Rock Rapids, Iowa and she preceded him in death on October 19, 2006. John had been an executive consultant for many years prior to retiring. SURVIVORS include 2 sons: John and Gary Contrady; daughter, Sue Carey; several grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and a special friend, Hugh McQuarrie. According to John’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorials to the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
