Mr. John D. Cooper, Jr., age 64, passed away Tuesday morning, May 28, 2013. He was born October 10, 1948 in Muskegon to John D. and Mary (Ostradick) Cooper, II. John was a Fruitport High School graduate. He worked 20 years for Lappo Lumber before co-owning The Kab-Net-Shoppe in Montague for 5 years. He then worked 6 years for Wolohan Lumber. John was also active in Port City AA. SURVIVORS include 3 children, John L. Cooper, Scott D. (Rikki) Cooper both of Fruitport, Tracy A. Cooper of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; the mother of his children, Marie (Tom) Guerrero of Muskegon; 2 sisters, Carol (Ron) Pieczynski, Jackie Cooper both of Muskegon; and many extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, James “Coop” Cooper, Sr. A TIME OF REMEMBRANCE will be held from 5-7 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S.
