John Donald Creed Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. John Donald Creed, Jr., age 62, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born August 13, 1952 in Hart, MI to John and Jean (Strait) Creed. John started working as an auto-body repairman for various body shops in the area until becoming a Pattern Maker and was employed by Ravenna Pattern and most recently with Anderson Global. He was very involved with his union, the International Association of Machinist. He was an avid fisherman, especially ice fishing and loved riding his motorcycle of which he built himself. On August 20, 1976 he married the former Suzanne Mary Engle. She survives him along with 2 sons, Henri Creed of Fruitport and Randy (Leesa) Creed of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, River and Emerson Creed; his mother, Jean Irey of Muskegon; 3 sisters, Linda (Bob) Upson of Fruitport, Donna (Tom) Dusen of Muskegon and Nancy Lampkin of Rothbury, MI; 2 half-brothers, Tom (Jeannine) Irey of North Muskegon and Chuck (Diane) Irey of Fruitport. He was preceded in death by his father, an infant brother and his step-father, Delmer Irey. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. VISITATION will be Monday evening 6-8 p.m. He will be laid to rest in St. Catherine Cemetery, Ravenna, MI. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
