I do remember John when we were children in Muskegon, as cousins. Our fathers were in business together. Our families would gather for occasional Hulka family outings at the beaches of Lake Michigan. His mom, my Aunt Helen , had two boys. Charles and Robert, and then the twins, James and John. She was so hoping for girls that she let the twin boys’ hair grow so long, that they had long curls similar to Shirley Temple!! They were very cute!!
We never stayed in touch after our fathers’ business was sold, but I do fondly remember all of the boys and my brother and I going to Church, Sunday School and Catechism classes on Saturdays at Dr Martin Luther Lutheran Church.
May our Lord continue His blessings on John’s family.
