John F. Jandron's Obituary
John F. Jandron, 80, of Muskegon, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a man of faith, and someone whose humor and perseverance touched all who knew him.
Born in Marinette, Wisconsin, on December 8, 1944, John was the son of Edward and Jeanne (Doran) Jandron. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In 1972, John married the love of his life, Jeanne Comrie, in Muskegon. Together they shared 53 years of marriage filled with love and laughter.
John worked more than 25 years as a Nursing Service Supervisor at Ypsilanti State Hospital before owning and operating Mail Boxes Etc. in Holland until his retirement. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick–St. Anthony Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion.
A man of simple passions, John loved watching birds, cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame football, and keeping dog treats handy for every four-legged friend. His home was always open to visitors.
In his later years, John earned the affectionate title of the “Rosy Mound Sheriff.” from his La-Z-Boy, always “on duty” with wit and pride.
John is survived by his wife, Jeanne; siblings Richard (Sue) Jandron, Sheila (Curtis) Twining, Ned (Jill) Jandron, Dan (Cindy) Jandron; brother-in-law, Dan (Cathy) Comrie; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Jandron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 26th 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken St Norton Shores
Visitation will take place on August 25th 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave, Grand Haven, MI 49417 and also one hour prior to the service at church.
Interment will follow at Lake Forest Cemetery at a future date.
