John C. King's Obituary
John C. King, age 67, died Tuesday afternoon, September 24, 2013, at his home. He was born September 9, 1946 in Muskegon to Harm and Doris (Bishop) King and had been a life resident of the area. John had been a Sheet Metal worker at Bishop Heating and Air Conditioning, prior to his retirement 18 months ago. He enjoyed hunting and fishing along with woodworking, welding and motors. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his first wife, the former Deborah Danenberg on January 11, 2000. He is survived by his wife, the former Lori Mae Dykes; his girls, Renee Collins, Jacklyn Danenberg, Danelle Danenberg and grandson, Cade Danenberg-Pearson, all of Muskegon; 1 step-son, Jonathon William (Anita) Dunn; 1 brother, Fred King of Grand Haven; 2 sisters, Linda (Gerry) Ridderman of North Muskegon; Barbara (Dan) Bowen of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews; his special friends, Jerry and Gladys Woodyard of Gray, TN and by his special dog, “Buddy”. John’s family would like to thank his “Cancer Nurses” at the Johnson Family Cancer Center for their love, support and care this past year. A GATHERING TIME will be held 5-8:00 PM Monday, September 30, 2013 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.; 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442 (231-726-5210).
