John Perry Kirk's Obituary
Mr. John Perry Kirk, age 62, passed away at his home on Saturday, October 8, 2022 following an 8-year fight against cancer. He was born in Flint, Michigan on January 22, 1960. John was a loving husband and took great joy in his children and grandchildren. He was an avid duck and deer hunter, fisherman, golfer, and lifelong fan of Detroit Tigers baseball. John worked in the school bus and transportation industry for over 40 years before retiring earlier this year. John is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Laura; four children, Adam Kirk, Lauren (Evan) Henfling, Trevor Kirk, and Nikolas Kirk; four grandchildren, Kori, Novalie, Demi, and Nolan; his mother, Charlotte Kirk; aunt, Marsha "Bun" Newell; and best friend, Bryan Smith. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Andrew Kirk; grandparents, Wayne and Thelma Hasse; sister, Julie Kirk-McReynolds; uncles, Robert and Timothy Newell; and cousin, Tim Newell Jr. SERVICES for John will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
