John Matthew Lamberger, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. John Matthew Lamberger Jr., age 84, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016. He was born on August 5, 1932 in Chicago, IL to John and Ann (Nadasy) Lamberger, Sr., and was raised by his Godparents Mac and Mary on a farm in Howard City, MI. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Ellison during the Korean War. Upon returning home he met and married the former Margie Eley on August 11, 1956. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary together. They raised her four children Bob (Barb) Carney, Dick (Lynn) Carney, Nancy (Joel) VanDyke, and Frederick Carney (deceased). He cherished the memories he made with many of his grandchildren and their children. John worked for 40 years at Muskegon Asphalt, and was a proud member of the Operators Engineer 324 having just received his 60-year pin. He enjoyed working with his good friends, the Jawor families, on their blueberry farms in many different capacities throughout the years. He loved the White Sox and his Sunday’s were spent cheering on the Chicago Bears. He has many fond memories with his friends at the VFW. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 1PM Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Pastor Mike VanKampen officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior, from 12-1PM. Burial will take place in Egelston Twp. Cemetery. In lieu flowers, memorial contributions to the VFW Derezinski Post #7729 will be appreciated. Share memories with the family online at sytsemafh.com.
