I was privileged to be a neighbor of Jack’s for the last 22 years. Jack and I shared many common interests. We both liked baseball, to ride bikes, to eat good homemade food, and to sneeze loud. My wife, Amy thought I had the loudest sneeze in the world until she heard Jack’s. Even though Jack suffered from Alzheimer’s later in life, he always remembered who my wife and I were. He also taught me the proper use of a walker after I had knee replacement last spring. He took it easy on me too while walking, which I greatly appreciated. His yard was immaculate, the standard of the neighborhood, hard to keep up with him even later in life. I already miss him, he was an inspiration to us all in more ways than I can say.
