John Edward Marod Jr.'s Obituary
John Edward Marod, Jr. age 59, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2021, at home. He was born November 8, 1961, in Grand Haven to John Edward and Carol Jo (Jannenga) Marod.
John graduated from Spring Lake High School and went to ITT Tech to learn H-Vac. He owned and operated Dial One heating and cooling. John loved boating, gardening, golf, tennis, “worshiping the sun”, and going on extravagant trips. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Carol Marod; daughter, Megan (Thomas Hufferd) Marod; two sons, Matt (Sarah) Marod and Mike Marod; two grandchildren, Jackson and Taylor; and two brothers, Jeff (Carla) Marod and Darrin (Denisha) Marod; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father John Marod on December 27, 2016.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Gross as celebrant. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery. Memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church are appreciated.
