John Miller's Obituary
Mr. John Miller, age 74, of Spring Lake passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019. He was born June 29, 1944 in Dixon, Illinois to Elmer and Mila (Wohnke) Miller. John was a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University and a member of the Acacia Fraternity. On February 6, 2000 he married Nancy Westhoff Reygaert.
John was the owner of jh miller resources, inc. in Nunica since 1995. He was a member of the Spring Lake Country Club and was an avid golfer. John was a dedicated sports fan for his beloved Chicago sports teams. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his four children: David Miller of Frisco, TX, Stephen (Rebecca Benes) Miller of Elgin, IL, Nicole (Jan) Fiedler of Toms River, NJ, and Major Miller of Grand Haven; step-children: Robert (Katie McBride) Reygaert of Grand Rapids, Caroline (Michael Jubenville) Reygaert of Ada; six grandchildren: Cody, Brittney, Ashlyn, Caleb, Olivia, and Cole. Mother-in-law, Mary Westhoff; sister and brothers-in-law, Kathryn (John Armstrong) Volz, Dan (Susan) Westhoff, and Joel (Laura) Westhoff; many nieces and nephews; and his favorite kitty, Josie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mila; daughter-in-law, Simona Miller; and father-in-law, Richard Westhoff.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00 PM Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Spring Lake Country Club with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Visitation and a time of sharing will take place after the service. Interment will take place in Spring Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of John may be given to the Harbor Humane Society, Spring Lake Presbyterian Church Hospice of North Ottawa Community, or The Spring Lake Junior Golf Association.
