John William Moon's Obituary
John William Moon, age 65, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, in Montague, MI. He was born August 22, 1958, to John and Barbara (Fortin) Moon in Muskegon, MI. He graduated from Reeths Puffer High School 1977 and during this time he shared a passion for wrestling and football. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. Later in life he married Lisa Coleman in 2001.
John loved fishing, hunting, collecting antiques and metal detecting. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling out with family and friends. He had a passion for history and always knew random facts. He was a diehard Lions and U of M fan. John will be dearly missed.
John is survived by wife, Lisa; daughter, Jessica (Andrew) Torok; sons, Michael and Matthew Moon; grandchildren, Lucy and Nicholas Torok; brother, Mark Moon; and sisters, Debra (Greg) Rollenhagen and Teresa (Al) Coilinge; Father and Mother-in-law, James and Diana Coleman; and sister-in-law, Pamela (Craig) Schindlbeck. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Michael Moon.
