John P. Porth's Obituary
John Phillip Porth, age 74, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Thursday, July 25, 2024. John was born in Muskegon on July 9, 1950, to Joseph and Jean (Thomas) Porth. He graduated from Orchard View High School in 1968 and spent the rest of his life in Muskegon. John enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was hiking, biking, or just doing yard work around the house. He also loved working on cars and going to the library. He was a private person who mostly stuck to himself, but also took care of his parents for many of their later years. John will be lovingly remembered by his brother, James (Laura) Porth of Ventura California. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jean Porth. Per John’s wishes no services are being held, but memorial contributions may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E.
