So sorry to hear of your loss. John was a true treasure and friend to have. "The wind blows and the motor roars" .. a very smart kind soul with great stories. He lived and incredible life and will truly be missed. Sending love.
Mike and Renee, our condolences on the loss of your father. John was our neighbor for all of the years we have lived here. He gave our kids their first jobs, he would bring me flowers from his yard and was always kind and generous. We shared a love of Golden Retrievers and he took my scolding of him for sharing too much of his food and getting them fat with good humor and would say, “Susan, how can I eat my good steak and not give one to my dog too?” May he rest In peace and love and may you be comforted by knowing that he loved you and was very proud of you.

Renee and Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing. I have so many fond memories of him and our good times together over the decades. His good nature, humor and friendship will be missed by so many. I still have the Bible he gave to me when I graduated from GV in 1985. Rest easy, John. God Bless. May Peace Be With You. 🙏🏽

I knew John years ago. To Renee, sorry for your loss. Don’t grieve for me now, I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took Gods hand when I heard the call.
Renee and the Ruark family, I’m so sorry for your loss. Your dad was gracious enough to employee me at his many restaurants including the Hangar and Whippi Dip in the 80s. I have such fond memories of him and his generosity. The community grieves with you during this difficult time. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.
With deepest sympathy,
