Mr. John E. Schindlbeck's Obituary
John Earl Schindlbeck, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 24, 2016. He was born on November 18, 1970 to Earl and Carol Schindlbeck in Grand Haven. On September 11, 1999, John married Carole (Larson) Schindlbeck and never looked back. They spent many years in youth ministry together reaching students and loving on and laughing with those around them. John went home to be with Christ early, but while he was on God’s great earth he loved to spend time hunting and creating hunting products, fishing, golfing, playing with his pups, watching the Cubs Win, painting murals, painting sets for Muskegon Civic Theatre, writing and illustrating a children’s book, re-finishing furniture, going antiquing and cooking for any and ALL family and friends who would eat his amazing meals. John had a large extended family that he loved to spend time with and care for. But most of all, John loved spending time with Carole, his wife and best friend. John had a huge impact on so many people’s lives and will be missed by so many family and friends who loved him dearly. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carole Schindlbeck; mother, Carol (Schindlbeck) Stokes; stepfather, Eugene Stokes; and siblings, Vickie (Schindlbeck) Marhin, David (Delaine) Schindlbeck, Kevin Schindlbeck, Nancy (Schindlbeck) Macy, Troy (Cindi) Schindlbeck, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Schindlbeck. VISITATION with John’s family will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100) from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Harvest Bible Chapel Spring Lake (225 E. Exchange St.) at 11:00 AM. For a more lasting memory, contributions in John’s name can be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission. Feel free to sign the family’s online guestbook and view a full obituary at www.sytsemafh.com.
