John George Seevers' Obituary
Mr. John George Seevers, age 69, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012. He was born in Croton, MI on February 23, 1943 to Nathaniel and Doris (Hill) Seevers. He had been employed as a mechanic at Bud and Ray’s Transmission before retiring in 2004. John loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. On April 14, 1972, he married the former Sharron L. McGee and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2006. He is survived by 6 children, Timothy (Jane) Bennett, Daniel Bennett, Sharron (George) Miller, Owen Bennett, Shirley Seevers, and Shawn Seevers; 1 adopted daughter, Kathy (William) Messenger; 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and special friend, Kevin Puckett. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. Carlos Ramos officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Twin Lake Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the family would be appreciated.
