John F. Shavalier's Obituary
Mr. John F. Shavalier, age 77, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Poppen Residence. He was born December 20, 1937 to Clark and Alice (Coles) Shavalier in Muskegon and was a lifelong resident of the area. On June 25, 1960 he married the former Linda Ruge and they were blessed with four children. John was employed at Sealed Power Corp. and after 30 plus years retired in 1994. He enjoyed a wide variety of activities with family and friends which included hunting, fishing and woodworking. John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda; his sons, Russel (Ann), Rocky (Tammy) and Monte Shavalier; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; his sister, May Fazakerley; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Smith. A private family service has been held.
