John Slowik's Obituary
Mr. John Slowik, age 66, died early Friday morning, December 9, 2005. He was born November 22, 1939 in Muskegon to Frank and Bertha (Sidock) Slowik, and had been a life resident. Mr. Slowik worked for C.W.C Textron for many years. He also was a member of Central United Methodist Church, where he belonged to the Circle of Friends Group. On December 12, 1987, he married the former Joanne Schlattman in Muskegon and she survives him along with 3 step-children, Luanne Holubeck, Cathy (Ken) Brady, Ken (Julie) Holubeck; 7 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Slowik; 3 sisters, Sophia Horn, Bernice LeNore, Josephine (Don) Turner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters, Mary Mead, Julia Burgess, Frances Gray, Stella Slowik; brother, Frank Slowik; half-sister, Helen Loss; and half-brother, Ray Slowik. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randall R. Hansen and Nancy Powers officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. MEMORIALS to the Central United Methodist Church Memorial Fund will be appreciated.
