Mr. John Sowa, age 83, passed away to celebrate his birthday with the Lord on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Hackley Hospital. He was born February 6, 1924, in Muskegon to Albert and Anna (Ryzcek) Sowa, and he resided in the area all of his life. Mr. Sowa was a supervisor at CWC for over 39 years. He was an usher at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and working in his garden. In 1946, he married Josephine Plouhar, and she preceded him in death on March 8, 1959. SURVIVORS include 4 children: Patricia (Wayne) Niblett of Cedar Bluff, AL, Timothy (Robin) Sowa of Muskegon, Mary (Tom) Derrickson of North Muskegon, John Steven (Pam) Sowa Jr. of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Joseph Sowa; 4 sisters: Louise (Otto) Lenar, Helen Kielbus, Martha Lake and Stella Wood; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Kenny Tardy. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters. VISITATION with John’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the
