John R. Strabbing's Obituary
Mr. John R. Strabbing, age 65, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at home. He was born December 3, 1953 in Holland to Jerold and Joan (VandenBrink) Strabbing. On February 14, 1981 he married Lelah Wittevrongel at the Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.
John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed working on computers and was an avid reader. For two years John served as a missionary in Las Vegas with his church.
He is survived by his wife, Lelah; four children: Lauren Mitchell of Spring Lake, Sgt. Jeremy (Amy) Strabbing of Georgia, John Richard Strabbing II, of Spring Lake, and Sgt. Jordan (Heather) Strabbing of Georgia; five grandchildren; his mother, Joan; four siblings, Joy Strabbing, Jack (Helen) Strabbing, Janice (Bob) Rosales, and Jerold “Putter” (Patty) Strabbing. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly.
A memorial service will take place 11:00 AM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (18975 168th Ave. Spring Lake, MI 49456).
