Mr. John S. Stuparits' Obituary
Mr. John S. Stuparits passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 27, 2015 in Muskegon. He was born October 7, 1927 to John and Helen (Pamer) Stuparits in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. John was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, was retired from Muskegon Piston Ring, and previously worked at the Norge. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. John loved to fish and spent many hours on his boat “J-Boat”. He married Lottie M. Pecak on June 25, 1949 in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 2 sons, Jeffrey (Wanda) Stuparits of Gainesville, GA, John J. (Nancy Gross) Stuparits of Spring Lake; 4 grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Stuparits of Gainesville, John Harper and Amy Stuparits of Grand Haven; 2 sisters, Maryann (Robert) Winicki of Muskegon, Rosalie Russell of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating John’s life will be held Monday, February 2, at 11:00 AM at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565, with the Rev. Msgr. R. Louis Stasker presiding. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
