Dear Barb, Tom & Kathy, and Leslie,

It was late that I came to learn of John's death. It stunned me fiercely. My sympathy for all of you is deep. Up through the time of Barb's and John's wedding, Gwen and I were richly friended both by John, Patty, and their family, as we also were by Barb and John. The memories are vivid, they last. John and I let our friendship slip away. I deeply regret that. I hope that In the larger dimension of life such friendship as we enjoyed may renew.

Dear Barb, Tom & Leslie: John was a special person. He will be missed but remembered with warm thoughts by all who knew him. We have known each other since he joined the faculty at MCC. Our last visit was the Thursday before he left us. His obituary was beautiful - his gift to family and friends indicating his gratitude for a long and good life. May we all remember him with the same gratitude and love.

I go back a long way and had John as a professor for History when he was at MCC. I took a couple of classes and had to wait a few years before continuing. Justin time to complete history with Patricia.......They were both excellent historians and could make it come alive. I tried to pattern my own teaching after them.They were truly more than just a lecturer and showed their care and concern for their students. Condolences to the family......Thaddeus Kozicki

My sympathy to the family of John Tevebaugh. I knew John through many years of singing in the choir at St John's Episcopal, and as one of my toughest Professors at GVSU. I always enjoyed that smooth bass “hello” when seeing him at local classical concerts. May you find peace and love in the memories you cherish.
