John Robert Waite's Obituary
John R. Waite, age 44, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in Muskegon, MI. He was born to Gary and Melinda (Jacobi) Waite on March 18, 1982, in Muskegon, MI. John was a brilliant young man who attended Michigan Dunes Montessori. He graduated from Reeths-Puffer in 2000 where he sang in the Madrigals Choir and was a 4.0 student. John then went on to attend Olivet College. He was also known for singing the National Anthem at high school sporting events. John is survived by his father: Gary (Anne Leach) Waite; Uncle: Dennis Waite; Aunts: Paula (Normand) Richard, Sally (Steven) McGlone, Debbie (Gary) Mulder. He is preceded in death by his mother: Melinda Jacobi, and cat Lizzy. The family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation for the staff at The Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence for their care, support, meaningful interactions, and dedication to serving their family.
