John Dale Zimmer's Obituary
John Dale Zimmer of Muskegon, Michigan passed away peacefully September 9, 2025. John was born in Muskegon, Michigan, July 5, 1953, to the late Walter and Anna (Frollo) Zimmer. John enjoyed golfing, swimming in the pool, watching Michigan State University and most of all spending time with his grandkids. He is survived in death and was the beloved husband of Suzanne M. Zimmer; children: Jennifer (Andrew) Grooten; stepson: Troy (Paige) Botts; grandchildren: Elizabeth Grooten, Madison Botts, Cassandra Grooten, Carter Botts, Kaitlyn Grooten; brothers: James (Linda) Zimmer, Dennis (Joanne Thomas) Zimmer, David (Carla) Zimmer; sister: Maryann Zimmer; sister-in-law; Rose Zimmer, Mickey Zimmer along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Anna Zimmer, brother: Walter Zimmer Jr., Thomas Zimmer, Joe Zimmer; sister: Diana Zimmer and sister-in-law Patricia Martinez. VISITATION will be at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI. 49444 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, with a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM. The family asks that you join them for a luncheon following at Bella Maria Event Center, 513 W Pontaluna Rd. Norton Shores, MI. 49444. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society. Arrangements through The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services.
