John Albert Carl "Jack" Krueger's Obituary
Mr. John Albert Carl “Jack” Krueger, age 83, died Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2004 in Holland. He was born June 15, 1920 in Muskegon to Carl and Rose (Zorn) Krueger, and had lived in Muskegon most of life before moving to Holland in March of 2003. Mr. Krueger was a 1938 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School, and served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII. He owned and operated Krueger Barber Shop for 35 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Krueger loved to bowl, and had been the past president for the Michigan State Bowling Association and the Muskegon Chapter. He was also a member of Unity Reformed Church. On September 25, 1943, he married the former Dorothy Jane Vos in Marfa, Texas and she survives him along with 4 sons, Daniel (Nancy) Krueger of Holland, James Krueger of South Beloit, IL, Charles (Sherry) Krueger of Holland, Richard (Mary Ann) Krueger of Livonia, MI; 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Althea Krueger of Muskegon, and Carla Ryan of Holland. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Rosellen. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at Unity Reformed Church (1521 Porter Rd.) with Rev. Kyle DeYoung officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 2-5 & 7-9 PM Sunday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565.
