John B. Walling's Obituary
Mr. John B. Walling, age 70, passed away early Friday morning, May 29, 2009 in Muskegon. He was born August 26, 1938 to Alfred and Alice (Byrne) Walling in Newark, NJ, and moved to the Muskegon area 6 years ago. Mr. Walling worked for CHUBB Corporation of Insurance Companies in both Chicago and New Jersey for over 40 years before retiring, and locally was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. On September 20, 1969 he married Nancy Wieland in Chicago, and she survives him along with 1 brother, A. Michael Walling of Kansas City, MO; 1 sister, Mary Walling of New York City, NY; 1 sister-in-law, Judy (Fr. William) Fleener of New Era; nieces and nephews, William (Yvonne), John (Donna), Mark (Shirley), Greg (Trisha) Fleener, Martha (Craig) Ellinwood, Amy (Scott) Engle, and Mark Walling. A memorial service for Mr. Walling will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 6, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Dr. Thomas C.H. Scott and The Rev. William Fleener officiating.
