John Edward Priese's Obituary
Mr. John E. Priese, age 80, passed away unexpectedly, at home, Thursday morning. He was born in Shelby, MI on March 2, 1928 to John L. and Catherine (Thornton) Priese. He married the former Phyllis Derby in Muskegon on February 7, 1948 she preceded him in death on November 14, 2003. John was employed at Muskegon Paper Box Co. for 38 years, retiring in 1986 and was a member of the Ludington Coin Club. He is survived by: three sons, Michael (Sue) Priese of Burlington, KY, Darrell (Sherry) Priese of Norton Shores and David (Jennifer) Priese of Hesperia; two daughter, Pamela Woolery of Hesperia and Patricia Royston of Ludington; daughter-in-law, Ann Priese; two brothers, Donald (Lola) Priese and Charles (Anna) Priese; three sisters, Arlene Blohm, Eleanor (Darwin) Heykoop and Marilyn Flood; 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and his special friend, Virginia Carlisle. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rick in 2006. In accordance with his wishes there will be no service or visitation.
