John Jay Gzym's Obituary
Mr. John Jay Gzym, age 91, went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 31, 2007. He was born in Muskegon on June 8, 1916 to Stanley and Helena (Grabowski) Gzym and was a life resident of the area. John had been employed by The Norge for 37 years and then by CW Marsh Leather Co. before his retirement. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. On July 31, 1948, he married the former Cepriana “Ann” Macheta and she preceded him in death on July 25, 2007. He is survived by 2 brothers, Peter (Betty) Gzym of Mesa, AZ and George (Della) Gzym of Muskegon. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Michael, Joseph, Nicholaus and William Gzym and 4 sisters, Mary Gzym, Anna Poe, Josephine Cobb and Helen Mangione. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 11AM Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael Olson presiding. VISITATION will be 6-8PM Thursday at
