John Joseph Vargo's Obituary
Mr. John Joseph Vargo, age 83, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Hillcrest Nursing Home. He was born October 31, 1925 in Czechoslovakia and came to the United States at the age of 12. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the European Theater during WWII. He married the former Shirley Thorsen in 1948 and she preceded him in death in 1992. He later married the former Irene L. Dumaw in 1997 and she survives him. Prior to his retirement in 1992, he worked as a machinist for over 20 years at V-B Manufacturing. He was a member of Unity Church of Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife, Irene; 3 children, Bruce (Laura) Vargo, David (Debra) Vargo, Joyce (Paul) Bolema; 5 grandchildren, Kelly (Terry) White, Casey (Andrew) Baranek, David Bolema, Rebeka Bolema, Jonathan Vargo; 2 great-granddaughters, Jasmyn White and Shelby White; and 2 step-daughters, Sharon Prohaska and Susan Panzero.
