John L. Wright's Obituary
Mr. John L. Wright, age 73, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011. He was born October 31, 1937 in Dowagiac, MI to Jack and Hester (Goodrich) Wright. John graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in teaching. He then went to work as a science/biology teacher for Reeths Puffer Middle School for 32 years before retiring in 1993. John was also a Naturalist at the Muskegon State Park for many years. He was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, where he volunteered as groundskeeper. John was also a member of the Vikings, the Lithuanian Club, Polish Falcons, the Polish Union, and the Train Collectors Association. SURVIVORS include his daughter, Jolynn Wright of North Muskegon and his granddaughter, Collyn Deephouse, also of North Muskegon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jerry Wright. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with the Rev. Everett H. Klein officiating. A private family burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Harbor Hospice Palliative Care.
