John M. Uganski's Obituary
Mr. John M. Uganski, age 89, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in Muskegon. He was born on June 18, 1916 in Fruitland Twp. to William and Anna (Martinus) Uganski, and had resided in the Muskegon area all of his life. Mr. Uganski was the owner of Uganski Truck and Crane, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he belonged to their Men’s Club. He was also a member of the Lithuanian Club. In April 1939, he married the former Leona Schmiedeknecht, and she survives him along with 2 sons, Gerald (Teresa) Uganski of Wellsville, NY, Ronald (Joyce) Uganski of Norton Shores; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Frances Stadel of Muskegon; and sister-in-law, Ann Eugene of Utah. Mr. Uganski was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Sandy Uganski; and by his brothers and sisters. SERVICES will be 1:30 PM Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church (3235 Roosevelt Rd.) with Rev. Dennis L. Lassanske officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday (today) at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231) 759-8565. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
