John N. Jozsa, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. John N. Jozsa, age 84, passed away Friday, December 5, 2003. He was born April 17, 1919 in Muskegon to John N. and Mary (Vida) Jozsa, Sr. and lived in the area his entire life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Germany during WWII. He received a double master's degree in History and Psychology from Michigan State University. Mr. Jozsa was a teacher, guidance counselor, and later a high school principal for North Muskegon Public Schools and retired after 30 years of service in 1971. During his teaching career, he was responsible for the North Muskegon Summer Recreation Activities and also taught classes for the former Muskegon Business College. He was a long-time member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and the Catholic War Veterans. He was also active in the Muskegon Elks, Muskegon Heights Eagles, and numerous education associations. On November 9, 1946, he married the former Joyce L. Norstrom in Muskegon and she survives him. He is also survived by 2 daughters, Jackie (Rob) Aikman of Lansing, Joanne (Michael) Impullitti of Newport Beach, CA; 1 brother, Alex (Pat) Jozsa of Roosevelt Park; 1 sister, Irene Jozsa of Muskegon Heights. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 sister, Mary DeVries in 2001. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. INURNMENT will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission, the Salvation Army, or the charity of your choice.
