Johnny N. Moen's Obituary
Johnny Norman Moen of Muskegon, MI, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. He was born on April 12, 1947 to the late Gynther and Gladys (Hatle) Moen in Albert Lea, MN. He was also raised by beloved stepfather Gullick Boe from the age of 12.
Johnny was a proud graduate of Muskegon High School and served in the US Army. He married Betty (Mendez) on May 15, 1969. He retired in May 2007 from the US Postal service as a mail carrier. His hobbies included car shows, hot rods, motorcycles, swimming, golfing, football and above all, spending time with his family.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Betty Moen, who sadly passed away four days after Johnny; daughters Deborah Wilks (Jeffrey) and Jamie Wilczak (Christopher) all of Muskegon; beloved grandchildren, Glenn, Ryanne, Owyn and Eryn; brothers, Gordy Moen (Sue), Dennis Boe (Liz); sisters, Gail Kurdziel (Tom), and Carol Fagan. He was preceded in death by sister Linda Whitmer (George) and nephew Jon Moen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
