John Robert "Bob" Blake, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. John Robert “Bob” Blake, Sr., age 91, passed away Wednesday morning, November 23, 2011 at a local hospital. He was born April 29, 1920 in Muskegon to John and Elizabeth (Cioe) Blake and was a life resident of the area. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. On January 21, 1950, he married the former Eloise L. Warner and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2006. He worked for 15 years at Teledyne Continental Motors. He later established Blake Brothers Carpet Service which he continued for over 40 years, retiring in 1995 from Blake Carpet Service. SURVIVORS include 2 sons, Tim Blake of Muskegon and Rob (Robin) Blake of Pullman, MI; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother. PRIVATE ENTOMBMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
