Goodbye and Peace Uncle Virgil. I wish I could have been at your Memorial but I had a graduation out of town. Will miss the jokes, stories and gruffness. You didn't think you scared us, did you? Will never forget teasing the chickens or were they roosters, and the pig in your back yard and swinging on your clothesline as a kid along with Chris, Shell, Pam, Randy and Cindy, hoping not to get caught. May the Lord watch over all your family as they go through this difficult time and know you are at peace. I remember Uncle John taking me to meet cousins I did not even know exsisted as a child. I do not know why I was a long, but I am glad he took me.

Mom and Dad had a great time with Uncle John, even when he would show up at very early hours of the morning and shout "Daylight in the swamp!"

Mom told me of how he and Aunt Ruth would visit and go fishing with her and dad so they could get to know each other better. (This was shortly after my parent's married!) I thought this was very sweet of them when Mom told me about it.##imported-begin##Sandra Maginity##imported-end##

Grandpa - I will never forget the times we shared when my children were small, the stories you told and the lessons you instilled in them. And how can we forget the huge fry pan we cooked our chicken in around the campfires. You have treated me with respect and kindness through the years. May you rest in peace as you reunite with Grandma. Love always!

We will miss Uncle John (but he will always be my Uncle Virgil!) very much. All the memories: Bib overalls and railroad caps, stories at family reunions and family campouts, the many pets. All the stories... a wealth of history. Tom and I enjoyed the few visits we got in together down there and at the cabin. A larger than life man indeed.
