Jon Michael Hall's Obituary
Jon Michael Hall, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 18, 2021 at home. He was born on October 23, 1960 to Stuart and Margaret “Peg” (Holmgren) Hall in Muskegon, MI and has lived here his whole life. Jon graduated from Mona Shores High School class of 1980. He dedicated many years working at Pioneer Resources as a custodian. He was also very involved with the Special Olympics program in Muskegon as an athlete. It was also a place that brought the family together, who worked as volunteers. Jon had always been an athlete, in his adult years he continued participating in soccer, softball, and basketball. He was also an active member in the Lark program which facilitated outings and various activities. He loved hockey and enjoyed watching the Lumberjacks play on outings with family and friends. Above all things, Jon truly loved spending time with his family enjoying the holidays together and making memories on family and friend outings. He will always be remembered for speaking his mind and having an outgoing personality. He was a fun-loving soul who will truly be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his brother, Thomas (Rhonda) Hall; nieces, Madeline Hall and Miranda Hall; sister, Mary Deephouse; niece, Heather Sykes; nephew, Bryan Deephouse; and 3 grand-nieces and nephew, Alana, Macyn, and Ryleigh. He was preceded in death by his parents. A limited public visitation of 25 people at a time will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from 6-8:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. A private family Memorial Service will be held. Memorial contributions in Jon’s honor can be made direct to The Special Olympics.
