Jonah R. Carty's Obituary
Jonah R. Carty, age 26, met his heavenly Father on Thursday, April 20, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1996, in Grand Rapids, MI and was raised by Sue-Lynn Moses and Thomas Goodwin in Muskegon, most of his life. Jonah loved all things outdoors, whether he was fishing, camping, or enjoying the lake. He loved spending his time out on the beach just getting lost in the waves. Jonah was an avid disc golfer, biker, and skateboarder, who enjoyed playing video games and listening to Hip-Hop music. Jonah could easily fill a room with laughter and bring a smile to your face. He was an outstandingly generous man by nature, who easily sacrificed for those in need. He will always be remembered as a loving son, wonderful brother, amazing nephew and grandson and dear friend to so many. His kind heart and gentle spirit will truly be missed by the many who knew and loved him. He is survived by his parents, Sue-Lynn (Thomas Goodwin) Moses; sister, Olivia Carty; maternal grandparents, Don (Saipin) Moses; aunt, Romjit (Dusty) Dykman; two uncles; Tommy Moses and Danny (Donna) Moses; three cousins, Justin Moses, Brianna Moses and Jayden Moses; and many dear friends. A Celebration of Jonah’s Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023, at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441.
