Joseph F. Broughton's Obituary
Joseph Fredrick Broughton was born on September 1, 1952, to Zona and Vernon Broughton, he was the youngest of 4 brothers, Bob Broughton, Jim Broughton, and Bill Broughton. Joseph grew up and remained in the Muskegon area all his life. His family owned and operated the Maple Tavern, a local bar, where he spent much of his time. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Kathy Broughton; his daughter Angela Broughton (Patrick), Melissa Broughton (Antony) and son Joseph Broughton. His 4 grandsons Marcus, Myles, Monroe, and Ma'kell. His only granddaughter, Makaiah and his great grandson Sy'mir. He joined his parents and brother Bill on September 26, 2022. There will be a gathering on October 5th from 3-5pm at 1080 Terrace Street. Come and share your favorite Big Joe story.
