Joe was such a Great Person and I regret not spending more time with him. He and I were at Ft. Benning, Georgia for Infantry Officers School in the late 1960’s. As a very close family, we spent many Sundays at Domie and Poppy’s together. He always demonstrated himself as a honest, caring person with an excellent sense of humor. Joe was not only a successful person but, more importantly, was a dedicated father. Family was very important to him. It is my honor to call Joe my cousin! May God help all of his family with their loss.
Our deepest condolences to the Burns family. I came to know Mr Burns over the counter here at Butch's because no one could remember how he ordered his chili dog(ketchup and salsa). And with that, we started to chat. He always spoke so proudly of his family, about the degrees earned, accomplishments at work or where you were teaching. Sometimes, it was just life's pleasures at home. We will miss seeing Mr Burns walk through our door!

I would like to extend my condolances to Joe’s family. Growing up with Joe, my memories were of a smart young man who loved basketball. Joe was a fun person. He was kind and well liked!
With sincere sympathy,
