Joseph D. Farr's Obituary
Joseph D. Farr, age 69, passed away Saturday evening, December 10, 2016. He was born August 15, 1947 in Muskegon to Raymond and Mary (Scully) Farr. Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he had served as a combat medic, and in 1990 enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard before being discharged in 2008. He was very proud of his military service and service to his country. Joe was a life-time member of the VFW Post 702 in Wyoming, MI. He also enjoyed singing, playing guitar, and painting. SURVIVORS include 5 children: Joseph William (Jenni) Farr, James Farr both of Muskegon, Steven Virag of Spring Lake, Danielle Farr, Michelle Hallahan both of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; brother, Jim Farr of Muskegon; sister, Marie Ryder of Muskegon; many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, MaryLou Rohn. A MEMORIAL VISITATION will be held from 2-4 PM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210 with military honors performed at 4 PM.
