Joseph A. Grevious Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Joseph Albert Grevious Sr., age 73, passed away February 12, 2021 peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Muskegon on September 29, 1947 to Joseph E. and Bernice (Peppin) Grevious. Joe was employed as a Pattern Maker for 41 years prior to his retirement from Anderson Pattern in 2008. He was an avid fisherman, favoring big lake fishing, and spent many seasons as a charter captain. In his younger days, Joe was an active member of the Muskegon Vikings Lodge. Joe will be greatly missed by all that loved him. On March 6, 1965, Joe married the former Star Heisser in Muskegon and she survives him along with their three sons, Joe (Rhonda) Grevious, Bob (Darcy) Grevious, and Brad (Shannon) Grevious; eight grandchildren, Justin (Brittany) Grevious, Taylor (Tyler) Hobby, Doug (Katie) Grevious, Kaile Grevious, Abbe Grevious, Luke Grevious, Emily Grevious, and Neil Welsh; two great-grandchildren who were the sparkle in Joe’s life- Peyton and Rowan Hobby; a very special sister, Marilyn Nemkovich; his best friends from childhood, Tim and Jim Linderman, Larry Wood, and Neil DeRochey; and his work friends from starting in the trade, Bob Buckmaster and Tom Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, JoAnn and Jan. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date.
