Joseph H. "Joe" Paquette's Obituary
Mr. Joseph H. “Joe” Paquette, age 98, passed away Friday, September 26, 2013. He was born on July 25, 1915 in the forests of northern Michigan in Cornell to Peter “Pierre” and Marion (Dionese) Paquette. He married the former Genevieve Irene Roberts in 1936. Joseph worked in the forests of the Upper Peninsula and served with the CCC in that area. He moved to the Muskegon area in 1942, where he worked at Morton Manufacturing until the time the company closed. He then worked at Northern Machine Tool where he retired. Joseph was a long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Muskegon Heights. He lovingly cared for Genevieve for many years until she passed away in 1992. He is survived by his son-in-law, Jacque A. Crevier, daughter-in-law, Susan Paquette; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was also preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Ann; son, Rene LeRoy; great granddaughter, Nicole Marie; two brothers, Leo and Tom; and two sisters, Rose and Dora. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 12PM Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Antony Britto officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the Staff at Roosevelt Park Nursing Home for the care given.
