Joseph W. Jurecki's Obituary
Joseph W. Jurecki, and his wife, Barbara J. Jurecki, each age 68, passed away accidently at their home. Joe was born December 28, 1946 to Joseph and Lauraine (Tews) Jurecki, and married the former Barbara J. William. He was a member of Don Rea Post 8846 VFW, and a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Era during which he earned the following medals: National Defense Service, Vietnam Service with a star, Vietnam Campaign, Combat Action, Purple Heart, Silver Star, Rifle Marksman, and RVN Cross of Gallantry with palm. He was retired from Sun Chemical Co. Barbara was born December 5, 1946 to Herman and Lucille (Stapp) William, Sr. JOE’S SURVIVORS include his six children, four step-daughters, his mother, three brothers and a sister. BARBARA’S SURVIVORS include her four daughters, six step-children, and their several grandchildren: A GATHERING TIME will be 2 to 5 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Blue Lake Community Church, 10981 Blue Lake Rd. with Military Rites for Joseph beginning at 3:00 P.M. They will be buried together at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Blue Lake Community Church for later distribution to a military cause would be appreciated.
