Joseph M. Rowe's Obituary
Mr. Joseph Martin Rowe, age 92, joined his loved ones in the grace of the Lord the afternoon of Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Brookhaven Medical Care. He was born January 5, 1924, in Muskegon, to Francis E. and Theresa (Kison) Rowe; and had been a life-long resident of the area. Joe graduated St. Joseph High School and was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, prior to becoming a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Joe had previously worked with his father at Midwest Importers, and throughout his life gave service and praise to the Lord, ushering weekly at his parishes and volunteering for countless evenings and events. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles, he was also an Elk and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He is remembered with love by his sisters, Rosemary Wuellner and Elinor Kapla; and by three generations of extended family…amongst them his namesake Joseph Martin II and his wife Mary Rowe, who cared for him in his final years, all who have their own fond memories and Christmas stories of “Uncle Joe”. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Frances (Rowe) Crane and Jean (Rowe) Keiser and brothers William and Edward Rowe. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, Oct 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church where you may meet the family for visitation one-hour prior to Mass. For a more lasting memorial, you are asked to consider Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, Muskegon, MI 49442, 231-726-5210.
