Joseph L. Robey Jr's Obituary
Joseph Leo Robey, Jr., age 75, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Joe was born on September 30,1944 in Washington, DC. and lived on the east coast before moving to Michigan. Joe proudly served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. Joe had a passion for the retail industry and held key executive merchandising positions at Lechmere and Folands. He was a National Sales Manager for Bio-Labs and completed his career as owner of JLRA, a manufactures rep firm calling on national big-box retailers. Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching sports. He loved spending time with his friends, especially attending Detroit Tigers games with them. Joe was a loyal friend and mentor to many and always possessed a positive attitude. Joe is survived by his daughter, Catherine Robey; son, Timothy Robey; sister, Lynn Sasso; nephew, Peter Sasso; nieces, Kimberly Cooper and Lisa (Andrew) Lang, and companion Patricia Boes. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Deborah and his brother-in-law, Tony Sasso. He will be laid to rest on Monday, September 14th, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd., Augusta, MI 49012 with full military honors in a private memorial.
