Joseph D. Suchy Jr.'s Obituary
Joseph D. Suchy, Jr., age 68, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his home. Joe was born May 1, 1953 in Muskegon to Joseph D. and Mildred (Klingbell) Suchy and lived most of his life in the area. Joe worked as a self-employed contractor prior to his retirement and built many beautiful homes during his career. On June 11, 1999, he married Mary S. (Guimond) Freres in Muskegon. Joe was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid sports watcher. Survivors include his wife, Mary S. Suchy; 3 children, Joseph D. (Kimberly Williams) Suchy III, Devin (Paul) Perez, Spencer Suchy; 9 grandchildren, Jacob & Brock Suchy, Haylea & Addison Bazinau, Parker & Piper Perez, Michiah Clarke, Morgan Suchy & Taylor Trifero; and 2 sisters, Linda Ensing and Judy Klinger; special nephew, Christopher J. Ross; and special friend, Michael J. Olsen. Mary introduced Joe to the Rottweiler breed and his best friends were his dogs, Chava Jane, Anya, and Lexie. A Funeral Service will take place 1:00 PM Thursday, May 20, 2021 outside under the South Portico at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Cancer & Hematology Center of West Michigan or Best Friends of Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, Utah 84741.
