Joseph L. Zagaroli's Obituary
Mr. Joseph Lawrence Zagaroli, age 86, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2016. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on December 7, 1929 to Joseph and Elena (Boccia) Zagaroli. Joe was a veteran of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He was a partner of Zagaroli Furniture Company for over 40 years, owner of JB Roast Beef Restaurant for over 20 years and spent over 25 years as a commercial real-estate investor. Joe was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a life-long member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his loving companion of over 50 years, Martha Sklenar and her son, Cre DuRocher and two grandchildren, Holly and Oren; his sister-in-law, Ann Marie Zagaroli; many nieces and nephews and special friends, Rev. Fr. Julian Reginato, Augie Panici, Mario Lucarelli, Lupe Rodrigues, Bruce Barker and Charles Ingram. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Carmen, Chuck, Peter and Tony; two sisters, Palma Pontious and Ann Zagaroli; nephew, Steven Pontious and Martha’s daughter, Debora DuRocher. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be CELEBRATED at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. VISITATION will be one hour prior to his service. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS in honor of Joe may be made to the Hume Home or Hospice of Michigan.
