Joseph B. Hazard's Obituary
Mr. Joseph B. Hazard, age 93, died early Saturday morning, April 16, 2005. He was born January 13, 1912 in Muskegon to Allison and Goldie (Brow) Hazard, and had been a life resident. Mr. Hazard worked for Pyle Pattern for over 20 years before retiring. On June 19, 1954, he married the former Rita Bergman in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 5 children, Michael J. (Nancy) Hazard, Sr. of Fredericksburg, VA, Raymond F. (Corky) VanDerHoeven, Herbert G. VanDerHoeven, Carrie L. (Gary) Dill all of Muskegon, Stanley M. (Nicole) Hazard of Baton Rouge, LA; 7 grandchildren, Michael J. Hazard, Jr., Rebecca L. Sophia, Michaelene Nelson, Jason VanDerHoeven, Aaron Dill, Nathan Dill, Anthony VanDerHoeven; 7 great-grandchildren, Jason Cody Hazard, Michaelene K. Wright (Nelson), Douglas Sophia, Jr., Nicole Sophia, Edward Sophia, and Megan Nelson. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald P. Hazard and great-grandson, Michael J. Hazard III. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday at Northside Bible Church (1937 N. Whitehall Rd., Muskegon, MI 49445) with Rev. Lowell Wood officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
