Mrs. Josephine V. Kops' Obituary
Mrs. Josephine V. Kops, age 97, passed away Monday afternoon, July 30, 2012. She was born March 19, 1915 to Anthony and Marcella (Nykiel) Glac in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Mrs. Kops worked at Clarke Floor Machine for 29 years before retiring in 1974. She married Charles C. Kops on August 28, 1946 in Allegan, and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1986. Mrs. Kops was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas DeBrie; seven sisters, Gladys Keeler, Mary Filipiak, Jennie McCleary, Phyllis Graftema, Violet Ulmer, Florence Craymer, and Stella Cashbaugh; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Antimette Glacz. She is survived by special nieces, Norma Jean Cirner, Delores Thompson, and Louise Neiser. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mrs. Kop’s caretakers and girls at Roosevelt Park Nursing Center, and Harbor Hospice. Private services will be held at a later date.
